Retro Aprons Are Back In Style

I recently bought not one, but two new aprons.  What gives?  What is that about?  An apron.  Why?

Don't get me wrong, I have many aprons hanging downstairs, that I have used over the years and worn for a TV appearance.  They were always okay, but the main purpose of wearing an apron on TV was so that your chest could be a walking billboard for the product you were talking about.

The aprons I bought last week are different.  First, I bought them both from Home Sense, my favourite store. Some people have a shoe weakness, me, I have a home sense weakness, and my Visa bill can prove it.

I bought one for my office and one for my kitchen.  The office one is sitting beside me on my art stand and the other for my kitchen is just because I like the turquoise blue colour.

Both remind me of what I imagine life was like when I was growing up.  You know, we imagine, simpler times in the 50's and 60's.  I fantasize that life was organized, simple, happy and clean and less choice and healthy.  Ummm...that is the life I want, so I think that is why I bought the aprons.

Well what do you think of retro and what kitchen life was like in the 50's and 60's?  To stir the discussion, I am doing my first give-away.  I am giving away my frilly apron.  Just tell me why you would like to win my frilly apron in the comments below and you will be entered in a random selection. I will end the give away by April 30.  If you are selected, I will contact you (via the email provided ) to get your mailing address to send you the apron.

Warmest Regards,

Judy (Judy Scott Welden)
